The Mac cleaner that shows its work.

Most cleaners hand you one big number and a button. CleanMacster hands you the list: every cache, leftover and duplicate, with its size and where it lives, before anything is removed.

Requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later

Checkup

A quick pass over the essentials: junk, tune-up and security in one go.

  • Junk Scan
  • Tune-up
  • Security Check

Eight tools in one window. Pick one to look around.

Every gigabyte, explained.

A scan doesn't end with a mystery number. You see the files, where they live and why they're safe to remove.

Checkup

Three scans. One button.

Checkup runs the junk scan, a tune-up and a security check side by side, then gathers everything into a single list for you to go through.

  • Results grouped into junk, tune-up and security
  • Uncheck anything you'd rather keep
  • Nothing is touched until you press Clean
Menu bar

Your Mac's vitals, always in reach.

A compact panel in the menu bar shows free space, memory pressure, processor load, network and battery, so you notice trouble without opening the app.

  • Free up memory or empty the Trash right from the panel
  • Eject external drives in one click
  • Optional alerts when free memory or space runs low

Five scans that do the heavy lifting.

Each one says what it found and why it's there, so cleaning never feels like a leap of faith.

1Junk Cleanup

Caches and logs, gone for good.

Apps write temporary files all day and rarely tidy up after themselves. CleanMacster finds them in your user and system folders, along with old Xcode data, unavailable simulators and full Trash bins on every drive.

  • Apps rebuild their caches whenever they need them
  • Anything that might hold personal data starts unchecked
  • Mail attachments are only offered when they can be downloaded again

2Applications

Uninstall apps, all of them.

Dragging an app to the Trash leaves its preferences, caches and support files behind. CleanMacster removes the app together with everything it scattered around, and tracks down leftovers from apps you deleted long ago.

  • Apps and their files go to the Trash, so you can put them back
  • Points out apps you haven't opened in months
  • Checks whether newer versions of your apps are out

3Clutter

Duplicates and forgotten files.

Copies of the same video, bursts of near-identical photos and installers you opened once quietly fill a drive. Clutter finds them, groups them and suggests what can go.

  • Duplicates are matched by content with SHA-256, not by name
  • The oldest copy is kept unless you pick another
  • Libraries such as Photos and Music are left alone

4Space Map

See where your space went.

A map of your drive where every bubble is a folder, sized by what it holds. Open any bubble to see what's inside and keep drilling down until you find the culprit.

  • Hidden files and folders are counted too
  • The biggest folders surface first
  • Select files right on the map and remove them

5Protection

Adware out. Privacy in.

Checks for known adware families and unsigned programs running in the background, clears browsing traces, and shows which apps can use your camera, microphone, screen and files.

  • Works alongside macOS's built-in XProtect
  • Clears history and traces in eight browsers
  • Every app permission in one list

And everything else.

Small tools that keep a Mac in shape, all in the same window.

Maintenance tasks

Free up RAM, flush the DNS cache, reindex Spotlight, speed up Mail and run the periodic maintenance scripts.

Login items

See what opens every time you log in and switch off what you don't need. The apps stay installed.

Background items

Review the helpers and launch agents running behind the scenes, and who signed each one.

App updates

A single list of the apps that have a newer version waiting, so you stop finding out by accident.

Time Machine snapshots

Remove local snapshots that pile up on your drive. Your backups on the backup disk are not affected.

Cloud cleanup

Remove downloaded copies of iCloud Drive files to win back space. The originals stay safe in iCloud.

Ignore list

Add a file or folder once and CleanMacster never scans or removes it again.

Dry run

Curious but cautious? Turn on dry run and CleanMacster only logs what it would remove, changing nothing.

Activity

A running record of your cleanups and how much space each one gave back.

Careful by design.

A cleaner should never be the reason you lose something that mattered.

Your files stay on your Mac.

Every scan runs locally. There's no account, no cloud service and nothing to upload.

  • ScanningOn your Mac, with nothing sent anywhere
  • Duplicate matchingSHA-256 fingerprints, computed locally
  • NetworkOnly to look up newer versions of your apps

You approve every file

Each scan ends with a review. You see every item, where it lives and how big it is, then decide.

Key folders are off-limits

/System, your Library, Documents and Downloads folders themselves are never removed, only files you pick inside them.

Trash first

Apps, duplicates and clutter go to the Trash. One setting sends everything there instead of deleting.

Admin tasks are marked

Anything that needs your administrator password says so up front, before you start.

Dry run anytime

Log exactly what a cleanup would do without touching a single file.

Good questions, straight answers.

Which Macs does CleanMacster run on?

Any Mac running macOS 14 Sonoma or later.

Is it safe to remove what it finds?

Every scan explains what it found before you clean. Protected system locations are never touched, items that may hold personal data start unchecked, and you can keep anything you like. If you'd rather watch first, turn on dry run and CleanMacster will only log what it would remove.

Will it delete my files?

Only the ones you select. Apps, duplicates and other clutter are moved to the Trash, so you can put them back if you change your mind. There's also a setting that sends everything to the Trash instead of deleting it.

Why does it ask for Full Disk Access?

macOS protects folders such as Mail and Safari data. Without Full Disk Access, CleanMacster can't measure those files or clean them. You can grant or revoke access at any time in System Settings › Privacy & Security.

Why does it sometimes ask for my administrator password?

A few maintenance tasks and system-wide background items can only be changed by an administrator. They're marked in the app, and you're asked before anything runs.

Does CleanMacster collect any data?

No. Scans run on your Mac and there's no account. The app only goes online to check whether your apps have newer versions.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once: $19 for one Mac, $29 for three or $39 for five.

How do I get the app after buying?

Right after checkout you can download the CleanMacster disk image (.dmg). The same download link arrives with your receipt by email, so you can install it again later.
